We have an opening for a Consultant in the Washington, DC area. The candidate must have budget, accounting, or financial management expertise, preferably within the Department of Defense Foreign Military Sales functional area.  The candidate will be providing managerial accounting expertise to include financial reporting, cost management, budget execution, and data management using various defense agencies accounting and support systems. 

Ideal candidate will have experience in:

·         Business Process Mapping

·         Solution Development for efficient business processes

·         Data Management and Analysis

·         Budget Automation and Process Improvement

·         Client relations

Responsibilities:

As a MBC consultant, you will participate as part of a team of functional experts and must be able to engage in the following activities: 

·         Assess and document the current state of financial management applications tools and data sources and uses, and the basis for the management of the data

·         Establish financial data management objectives for usage and define analysis requirements and capabilities

·         Develop a desired state for financial management data

·         Capture: presentation, storage and actions required by budget/finance analysts and upstream management

·         Develop a plan to achieve desired financial management end state, to include milestones to evaluate progress

·         Assist the USG to execute financial management desired end state

·         Refresh the financial management plan as new sources, programs or requirements evolve

·         Document current tools, applications and processes

·         Develop a desired end state business architecture – both process and system applications

·         Develop a gap analysis

·         Develop a plan to achieve the desired financial management end state, to include milestones to evaluate process

·         Assist the USD to execute a plan to achieve the desired financial management end state

·         Develop training and associate manuals and materials

 

 

Requirements:

·         Work  independently and be self motivated

·         8+ years experience in DoD Foreign Military Sales and Consulting Services

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Power Point, Word, Access)

·         Knowledge of Data Management methodologies and advanced Database systems (Desired)

·         MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

·         Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
